How To Apply

1. Create an Account: Register on the Du Digital Indian Consular Application Centre (ICAC) website.
   Click here to register.
2. Book an Appointment: Schedule your visit to Du Digital ICAC by choosing a suitable date and time.

3. Prepare Your Documents: Carry your passport, photographs, and all supporting documents as listed in the Documents Checklist section.
4. Visit Du Digital ICAC: Visit the designated ICAC (as per your jurisdiction). The address and location will be mentioned in your appointment letter. Ensure you arrive 15 minutes before your appointment time.
5. Submit Your Application & Pay Fees: Submit your documents and pay the applicable fees at ICAC. Refer to the Fee Details section for exact charges.
6. Enroll for Biometrics (if required): Complete biometric enrollment if applicable.
7. Application Submission Complete: You’ve successfully submitted your application.
8. Track Your Application: Monitor your application’s status online.

Documents Checklist: Documents for Attestation

• Original Certificate: The original certificate that requires attestation (e.g., school certificates, marriage certificates, degree certificates, birth/death certificates, etc.), along with two photocopies of the document.
• Dully filled Covering Letter
• Passport: Original passport of the applicant, along with photocopies of all pages containing personal particulars and the current visa page.
• Work Permit/Tangdao/Residence Permit: Original work permit, Tangdao (Alien Registration Certificate), or residence permit with a photocopy for proof of the applicant’s legal status in Thailand.
• Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs Attestation (if applicable):
  If the certificate originated from a Thai institution, attestation from the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs is required before submission to the ICAC.Note: All Thai documents must be translated into English, and the translation should be certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Thailand.
• Authority Letter (if applicant cannot come personally):
  An authority letter should be provided if the applicant is unable to come in person to submit the documents.
  The letter should authorize someone else to submit the documents on their behalf.
  The Thai ID or passport copy of the authorized person must also be attached.
• Certificates for Attestation in India:
  If you are submitting documents that need to be attested in India (e.g., school certificates or degree certificates), make sure they are first attested in India as per the following requirements:
  
  • School Certificates: Attested by the Concerned State Board of Secondary Education.
  • Diploma/Vocational Training Certificates, Marriage/Birth/Death Certificates: Attested by the Authorised Officer of the Department of Home Affairs of the state where the institution is located.
  • Degree/PG Certificates:
    
    • Attested by the Authorised Officer of the Department of Secondary Education and Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India.
    • Attested by the Consular Section (CPV Division), Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.

1. What is document attestation?
   Document attestation is the process of verifying the authenticity of a document by a competent authority, making it legally valid for use abroad.
2. What types of documents can be attested at the Indian Consular Application Centre in Thailand?
   Documents eligible for attestation include:
   
   • Commercial Documents (Invoices, Agreements, Power of Attorney)
   • Educational Documents (Degrees, Diplomas, Transcripts)
   • Personal Documents (Affidavits, Birth Certificates, Marriage Certificates)
3. Do I need to get my documents apostilled before applying for attestation?
   If the documents originate from a Hague Apostille Convention member country, they must be apostilled before submission. For non-member countries, they must be authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs before attestation.
4. How long does it take to get a document attested?
   Processing time varies depending on the type of document and verification process but generally takes 5–7 business days.
5. Can I submit documents for attestation on behalf of someone else?
   Yes, you can apply on behalf of another person with a notarized authorization letter and valid ID proof of both the applicant and the authorized person.
6. Is there a fee for attestation of documents?
   Yes, a fee is charged based on the type of document and the nature of attestation. The fee structure can be obtained from the ICAC or the official website.
7. Can educational certificates be attested if they are not issued by Indian authorities?
   Educational certificates not issued by Indian authorities must be apostilled or authenticated by the issuing country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs before submission for attestation.
8. Is the attestation service available for documents in languages other than English?
   Documents in languages other than English must be translated and notarized before submission. The translation must also be attested.
9. What if my application for attestation is rejected?
   If the application is rejected, the ICAC will provide a reason for the rejection. The applicant may correct the discrepancies and reapply.
10. Can I track the status of my attestation application?
    Yes, applicants can track the status of their attestation request by contacting the ICAC or via the official website using the reference number.
