How To Apply

1. Create an Account: Register on the Du Digital Indian Consular Application Centre (ICAC) website.
   Click here to register.
2. Fill Out the Government Application Form: Click here to access the form.
3. Book an Appointment: Schedule your visit to Du Digital ICAC by choosing a suitable date and time.

4. Prepare Your Documents: Carry your passport, photographs, and all supporting documents as listed in the Documents Checklist section.
5. Visit Du Digital ICAC: Visit the designated ICAC. The address and location will be mentioned in your appointment letter. Ensure you arrive 15 minutes before your appointment time.
6. Submit Your Application & Pay Fees: Submit your documents and pay the applicable fees at ICAC. Refer to the Fee Details section for exact charges.
7. Enroll for Biometrics (if required): Complete biometric enrollment if applicable.
8. Application Submission Complete: You’ve successfully submitted your visa application.
9. Track Your Application: Monitor your application’s status online.

Student Visa

1. Duly filled Application form
2. Photo 2 inch x 2 inch only white background – 2 photos
3. Copy passport first page – 2 copies
4. Copy current passport first page and current student visa of India – 1 set
5. Copy ID card of applicant – 1 set
   Copy of Thai visa in passport all pages (for non-Thai having long-term Thai visa more than 2 years) – 1 set
6. Copy of birth certificate (applicants), translated and certified by the translation Centre, along with Thai language version
7. Copy of the document to change the name and extension (if any), translated and certified by the translation Centre,
   along with Thai language version
8. Copy of house registration of applicant translated and certified by the translation Centre, along with Thai language version
9. Admission Letter (BONAFIDE) – Original and copy 1 set
   (must show applicant details + course start date + number of schools affiliated with CBSE)
10. Copy of Transcript (English) – 1 set
11. Letter of Undertaking (English language)
12. Letter of Consent (English language)
13. Sponsorship Letter (English language)

In case father or mother is a sponsor – additional documents 

1. Sponsorship Letter – 1 set
2. Copy of ID card or passport of sponsor – 1 set
3. Copy of the document to change the name and extension (if any), translated and certified by the translation Centre,
   along with Thai language version
4. Marriage certificate/divorce certificate translated and certified by the translation Centre, with Thai language version
5. Copy of House Registration of the father and mother (English version), translated and certified by the translation Centre,
   with Thai language version

In case of relatives as a sponsor – additional documents

1. Sponsorship Letter – 1 set
2. Copy of ID card/passport of sponsor and parents – 1 set
3. Copy of the document to change the name and extension (if any), translated and certified by the translation Centre,
   with Thai language version
4. Copy of House Registration of father, mother, and relative (if connected), translated into English and certified,
   with Thai language version
5. Marriage certificate with translation from translation Centre with Thai version (if sponsor is married)
6. Name change documents of applicant, parent, and sponsor translated and certified by translation Centre
7. Bank statement of Sponsor – last 6 months (latest updated)
8. If old student – increase Resident Permit (RP)
9. Copy all again – 1 set (signed by applicant on every page)

1. Who is eligible for a Student Visa to India?
   Students accepted into full-time programs at recognized Indian institutions, interns, researchers, and those attending structured courses or cultural studies programs.
2. Can I pursue short courses on a Student Visa?
   Yes, if the course is structured, on-campus, and issued by a recognized institution (e.g., yoga, music, or traditional arts) — a Student Visa is applicable.
3. Do I need to register with Indian authorities upon arrival?
   Yes, if your stay exceeds 180 days, you must register with the FRRO/FRO within 14 days of arrival in India.
4. Can I work during or after completing my studies on a Student Visa?
   No. Employment is not permitted on a Student Visa. Even after internships, employment is not allowed without switching to an appropriate visa type (like Employment Visa).
5. Is the Student Visa extendable?
   The visa is usually valid for the course duration. Extensions must be processed via the local FRRO in India, subject to institutional confirmation and visa rules.
6. What is the S-6 visa and who can apply for it?
   The S-6 Visa is granted for internships at Indian companies, educational institutions, NGOs, or diplomatic missions. Internships must commence within 2 years of graduation, and salary rules apply for corporate internships.
7. Do dependents of students need a separate visa?
   Yes. Dependents must apply under subcategories like S-1X, S-3X, or S-5X, depending on the main applicant’s visa category.
8. Can I visit restricted or protected areas in India on a Student Visa?
   No, not without prior approval from the Ministry of Home Affairs. Special permits are required for such regions.
9. What if I provide incorrect or incomplete information?
   Providing incorrect or suppressed information can lead to visa rejection, delays, or a ban from applying in the future.
10. Do I need an appointment to submit my visa application?
    Yes. All applications must be submitted at the designated Indian Consular Application Centre (ICAC) with a prior appointment. Walk-ins are not accepted.
