How To Apply

1. Create an Account: Register on the Du Digital Indian Consular Application Centre (ICAC) website.
   Click here to register.
2. Fill Out the Government Application Form: Click here to access the form.
3. Book an Appointment: Schedule your visit to Du Digital ICAC by choosing a suitable date and time.

4. Prepare Your Documents: Carry your passport, photographs, and all supporting documents as listed in the Documents Checklist section.
5. Visit Du Digital ICAC: Visit the designated ICAC (as per your jurisdiction). The address and location will be mentioned in your appointment letter. Ensure you arrive 15 minutes before your appointment time.
6. Submit Your Application & Pay Fees: Submit your documents and pay the applicable fees at ICAC. Refer to the Fee Details section for exact charges.
7. Enroll for Biometrics (if required): Complete biometric enrollment if applicable.
8. Application Submission Complete: You’ve successfully submitted your application.
9. Track Your Application: Monitor your application’s status online.

Relationship Certificate for Work Permit/Tangdao Holder/OCI Holder

• Covering Letter stating details of service needed and for what purpose.
• Passport copy of Main Visa holder – 2 sets
• Work Permit/Tangdao/OCI copy – 1 set
• Passport copies of person requiring the relationship certificate
• Marriage certificate copy if spouse’s name is not endorsed in either passport. If not endorsed, new passports must be obtained first.
• Authority Letter if the applicant cannot apply personally, along with ID/passport copy of authorized person
• All original documents must be shown during submission at the center.

Relationship Certificate for Retirement Visa Holder

• Covering Letter stating details of service needed and for what purpose.
• Passport copy of Main Visa holder – 2 sets
• Passport copies of person requiring the relationship certificate
• Marriage certificate copy if spouse’s name is not endorsed in either passport. If not endorsed, new passports must be obtained first.
• Authority Letter if the applicant cannot apply personally, along with ID/passport copy of authorized person
• All original documents must be shown during submission at the center.

Relationship Certificate for Non-F Visa Holder

• Covering Letter stating details of service needed and for what purpose.
• Passport copy of Main Visa holder – 2 sets
• Letter of Employment from the organization
• Passport copies of person requiring the relationship certificate
• Marriage certificate copy if spouse’s name is not endorsed in either passport. If not endorsed, new passports must be obtained first.
• Authority Letter if the applicant cannot apply personally, along with ID/passport copy of authorized person
• All original documents must be shown during submission at the center.

Relationship Certificate for Student Visa Holder

• Covering Letter stating details of service needed and for what purpose.
• Passport copy of Main Visa holder – 2 sets
• Student ID copy – 1 set and letter from the institution
• Passport copies of person requiring the relationship certificate
• Marriage certificate copy if spouse’s name is not endorsed in either passport. If not endorsed, new passports must be obtained first.
• Authority Letter if the applicant cannot apply personally, along with ID/passport copy of authorized person

• OCI copy of Spouse – 1 set (if available)

1. Who can apply for the Relationship Certificate?
   Anyone who needs proof of relationship between two individuals for legal or personal purposes can apply. The applicant must be able to provide supporting documentation to verify the relationship.
2. Can someone else apply on my behalf?
   Yes, if you cannot personally visit ICAC, you may authorize another person to apply for the certificate by providing them with an authority letter.
3. How long does it take to process the Relationship Certificate?
   Processing usually takes 5–10 working days, depending on the verification process. Urgent requests may take longer based on ICAC’s processing capacity.
4. What happens if I do not have a marriage certificate or birth certificate to prove the relationship?
   If you lack official certificates, you may need to provide affidavits, joint declarations, or other documents that verify the relationship. The embassy may request additional documentation or evidence.
5. Can the Relationship Certificate be used in India?
   Yes, the Relationship Certificate issued by the ICAC is valid for use in India for various legal purposes, including visa applications, inheritance matters, and legal formalities.
6. Is there a fee for the Relationship Certificate?

7. What if the applicant cannot provide a Work Permit or Resident Permit?
   If the applicant does not have a Work Permit or Resident Permit, other official documents such as a valid visa, residence proof, or Thai ID may be accepted, depending on ICAC’s guidelines.
8. Do both parties involved in the relationship need to be present?
   In most cases, only the applicant needs to be present for the application process. However, both parties may be asked to provide relevant documents or signatures as part of the verification.
9. What if the original passport of the individual is not available?
   If the original passport is unavailable, you will need to provide a police report or an affidavit explaining the loss of the passport. The embassy may proceed based on the available documentation.
10. Can I apply for a Relationship Certificate online?
    Currently, the application must be submitted in person at the ICAC. The online application for Relationship Certificates is not available.
